Winter Outdoor Volunteering, 2024-2025

From October to February members of Conversation Club joined Leeds City Council (LCC) Countryside Rangers as volunteers to help with dead-hedging, woodland maintenance and tree-planting. Leeds Light Night

Leeds Light Night is ‘an annual free multi-arts and light festival that takes over Leeds City Centre for two nights in October’. We made a photo-gallery with pictures of the displays and the guests enjoying themselves.

Beeston Festival

A group of us spent the afternoon at Beeston Festival, with a picnic and games, including badminton and even cricket.

Outing to Fell Edge

Fell Edge Barn is a large bright and beautiful space near Ilkley Moor for community events: dance, theatre, creative workshops, spiritual gatherings, outdoor pursuits, special needs groups and schools. We had a great time, thanks to our wonderful hosts!

Visit to Leeds City Museum

A small group of us visited a special exhibition about migration at the Leeds City Museum. This included some migration-related language work.

Outing to Malham

We had a lovely outing up to Malham with the help of People and the DALES, a project run by the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.
