A day at the Fell Edge activity centre – June 2025

Once again a group of us visited Fell Edge barn near Ilkley. We enjoyed a wonderful sunny day in beautiful countryside. Richard & Liz greeted us with refreshments, then we explored the extensive grounds, collecting elderflowers to make cordial as we went. We relaxed and some of us played table football or table tennis. Dot taught us how to turn a blade of grass into a wind instrument (!). Then we enjoyed a delicious cooked lunch. In the afternoon, a few of us chilled: painting, drawing and crafting a collage to the sounds of Graeme’s guitar – whilst everyone else climbed a hill and were rewarded with fabulous views. The day ended with song, an impromptu dance, and the singing of Happy Birthday for Mohammed’s birthday, the next day. It was a ‘grand day out’.
