Since early 2023 we have had a productive partnership with the Threadbear Theatre group, who specialise in improvisational drama workshops.
Duncan Marwick visits us at Mill Hill Chapel every Thursday to do games and theatre exercises with any guests interested to join us. Some of the Conversation Club volunteers take part of the sessions and are available to help guests in any way needed.
These workshops aim to build a solid group of people from Conversation Club who will perform in their first performance at Fell Edge (near Addingham) on the weekend of 28-30 April 2023, and ideally continue working together in the months and years to come. The weekend event is called At the Edge and is described by the organisers as:
A weekend of performance, play and (hopefully!) putting the world to rights. Join us in fostering community and creativity that seeks to question Land Justice, Social Justice and Asylum Rights, and looks for answers.
