Conversation Club’s new funding award

We are excited to announce that CCL has been awarded new funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This investment will directly support asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds, as well as nearby areas such as Bradford, Wakefield and Pontefract. It will give us a huge boost to continue providing a social space for them to make friends, practise speaking English, and gain confidence in their new surroundings.

The fact that our sessions are busy every week suggests we are offering services that are urgently needed. We offer the hand of friendship to many very stressed and often lonely people, many of whom have been through traumatic experiences we can’t even imagine, in their home countries and on their journey to the UK.

We are extremely grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for awarding us these funds.
