About us

Conversation Club Leeds is Registered charity number 1189217. We are run solely by volunteers and have been welcoming asylum seekers to Leeds since 2016.

Our main aim is to make life just a little bit better for people who have had to flee from their own countries, and to make them feel they have at least one place where they belong.

We enjoy an ongoing partnership with our host organisations: Wheeler Hall at St Anne’s Cathedral, and The Holbeck Club, and work with many other local organisations. CCL’s work would not be possible without financial and in-kind support from various sources. To all of them we extend our most sincere thanks.
